CMS Website Guide

Our team specializes in building content management system (CMS) websites — from discovery to wireframing and design to content entry and administration. We build websites to fit your needs, moderate content after they launch, and continue partnering with you as your needs change.

Tell us what you need your site to do and say, and we’ll bring our expertise and experience to bear and make it happen!

Post-launch responsibilities

Website creation team

  • Moderate content as needed. (The Project Coordinator and other ERMC team members will receive email notification when this is required, so there’s no need to email us yourself unless it’s been more than 48 hours.)
  • Review editorial content as needed.
  • Format images as needed.
  • Fix things that break!

Website project partner-client

  • Add new content and update existing content as needed. All good websites grow and change over time! Yours should grow and change with the needs or priorities of your program or area.
  • Inform the Web Developer or other project team member if you run into a problem with how the website looks or behaves for the public user experience or your content entry process.
  • Train your team’s new hires who are assigned website maintenance duties. You will need to reach out to ERMC to create new admin accounts, but it’s the partner-client’s responsibility to peer-train new colleagues. You can use this spreadsheet to determine who has administrative access to various UDAR websites.
